Since 1974, Front Range Veterinary Clinic has been serving the Lakewood community.


Our doctors

Dr. Dwayne Sargent graduated from Colorado State University with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1962. He then entered practice with Dr. Stuart Burkhardt until Stuart's death. In 1974, Dr. Sargent built Front Range Veterinary Clinic and in 1983 the Clinic became a member of the American Animal Hospital Association. His son, Dr. Brett Sargent joined him in 1987. Dwayne's special interests include dermatology, cardiology and reproductive medicine.


Dr. Brett Sargent earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 1987. Shortly after graduation he joined his father at Front Range Veterinary Clinic. Brett's areas of special interest includes internal medicine, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Brett has been certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP) specializing in canine and feline practice.


Dr. Amy Fyock graduated from Colorado State University with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. She joined the Front Range team shortly after and has been a great addition. Dr. Amy's veterinary interests include internal medicine and patient care. Outside of work, Dr. Amy spends time with her two sons, Logan and Theo and her husband Mitch. Additionally she enjoys hiking around our beautiful state, attending concerts and playing her violin.


Dr. Donna Harris earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University. She has special interest in pain management and in 2005 returned to CSU to complete her certification in Veterinary Medical Acupuncture. In addition to acupuncture she is able to perform laser therapy on our patients. She has many years of experience and is a great addition to our team.

In her time off Dr. Harris enjoys reading, hiking and camping.


Dr. Matt Hitchcock received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Wisconsin in 2008. He is a Green Bay, Wisconsin native but following veterinary school moved to Colorado. His special interests include soft tissue surgery, preventative medicine and pain management. He is a member of CVMA (Colorado Veterinary Medicine) and AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association).

In his time off he enjoys spending time hiking, camping, biking and skiing. He shares his home with his wife, two children and a Pit Bull named, of course, Lambeau.
