ACUPUNCTURE

Eastern medicine with a modern twist. Acupuncture is an ancient practice that has shown great benefits for humans and animals alike. The goal of acupuncture is to promote the body to heal itself. Acupuncture enhances blood circulation, nervous system stimulation, and the release of anti-inflammatory and pain relieving hormones. Acupuncture involves the insertion of needles into body tissue where nerve bundles and blood vessels come together. These collections of nervous and vascular tissue are termed acupuncture points, which course over all aspects of the body’s surface.

Acupuncture treatment can be integrated into a variety of medical, neurological, and painful conditions! If you have more questions, or if you would like to make an acupuncture appointment for your pet, please call our office.

LASER THERAPY

Therapeutic laser treatment, or photobiomodulation, is a relatively new treatment modality that is highly beneficial in many aspects of veterinary and human medicine including wound therapy, pre- and post-surgical treatments, acute and chronic pain, and infection control. During this process, photons of light are delivered to the target tissue resulting in decreased inflammation, decreased pain and accelerated healing. It is a noninvasive treatment that doesn't require sedation or anesthesia so you can stay with your pet throughout the treatments.

At Front Range Veterinary Clinic, we have a top-of-the-line 15 watt Companion therapy laser which can be incorporated into the treatment plan for many of your pet's ailments. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a laser therapy appointment, please call our office.
